The key difference is where the caregiver provides assistance. Kinstroll's full-body harness supports the chest, belly and hips; its rear harness focuses on the hips and hindquarters. Compare the full-body option when both ends need assistance, and the rear option when help is mainly needed behind while the front legs remain steady.
This guide compares the two Kinstroll products, not every harness on the market. Neither is designed to suspend or fully carry a dog. Ask your veterinarian about new or worsening mobility changes and product suitability.

Start with one everyday movement
Describe what you want help with before comparing colors or sizes: standing from a resting position, a short walk, a bathroom break, a low step, or vehicle entry. Both products list these supervised assistance uses. The useful distinction is where the help is needed, rather than the name of the activity alone.
If you cannot tell whether the front legs can remain steady, do not use the table as a diagnosis. Get advice about suitability before choosing an aid.
When to compare the full-body option
The Kinstroll Full-Body Mobility Support Harness spreads caregiver assistance across the front, underside and rear body. It has All-Season and Breathable Summer options. Choose the wearable harness variant, then compare all four body measurements with its size chart.
A weight label alone does not settle the fit. For example, a dog can fall within one weight band while its chest measurement points to another size. Resolve that mismatch before ordering instead of assuming a larger size will fix every dimension.
When to compare rear support
The Kinstroll Rear Support Harness is intended for help around the hips and hind legs while the front legs remain steady. Its open rear design aims to reduce interference during bathroom breaks, but fit and body shape vary. Supervise the first uses and adjust or remove it if needed.
The wearable rear harness is listed in S–XL. An XS option in this product's selector refers to an assist strap, not an XS rear harness. Check the item name as well as the size.
What is included, and what is sold separately?
Each wearable Kinstroll harness includes one matching adjustable strap. The separately sold support or assist strap is an extra or replacement accessory. It does not include the wearable harness. If you already chose a harness, you do not need a second strap for the included setup.
A useful check before ordering
- Identify the movement and the area needing assistance.
- Read the selected product's fit guidance; do not transfer sizes between the two charts.
- Confirm that the selected item is a harness if that is what you need.
- Review the current shipping policy and return conditions.
- Contact Kinstroll with the product name and measurements if the fit is uncertain.
Next, use our support harness measurement guide. For traction and furniture-access options, see the four-product mobility guide.
